This privacy policy covers the SMS messaging program operated by Secret Soup Company in connection with the Checkpoint art project. It applies only to text messages exchanged with our published phone number. For the public program description and opt-in flow, visit the Checkpoint program page.
When you text our number we collect: your phone number, the content of the messages you send and receive, the date and time of each message, and which of our physical NFC stickers initiated the conversation (when known).
We use this information solely to participate in the Checkpoint project with you: to send relevant replies, to remember our prior conversation so future replies make sense, and to keep an internal log of project activity.
We do not sell your phone number or message content. We do not share mobile opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not use this data for advertising profiling.
We use Twilio as the underlying SMS carrier. Twilio processes message content as required to deliver SMS to and from your phone, under Twilio's own privacy practices.
You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP to the number. Your phone number will be retained only as a record that you opted out, so we do not contact you again.
